Forest of Beech Trees, c.1903 Art by Gustav Klimt

Austrian iconoclast Gustav Klimt (1862 – 1918) triumphed over childhood poverty to significantly influence the Viennese Secession and Art Nouveau movement. Klimt’s elaborate, explicitly sensual works expressed themes of regeneration, love and death, and incorporated Egyptian, Classical Greek, Byzantine and Medieval styles. Klimt also utilized symbols representing art’s liberation from traditional culture. when i saw the picture on your website, i loved it immediately and was looking forward to receiving it, when i opened it i was dissapointed, it just did not look as appealing. Hopefully once i put it in a frame it will look better.
i would rfecommend the site as it is a great idea but would say to really choose carefully in case they were dissapointed like me
